WEIRD AND WONDERFUL OBJECTS
WELCOME TO MY WORLD
In my mothers house there is a wonderful matchbox cover made of zinn with the text "The world is a book and the one who stays at home only reads one page".
The cover is designed by Estrid Ericson, the founder of the most famous interior store in Stockholm and the Grand Old Dame when every other store comes and goes.
As a child I used to visit the store with all its wonderful objects and amazing textiles. It was very much a family affair since one often met relatives there, shopping for the extraordinary to give their home that little extra.
In my curiosity cabinet in our house in the Spanish village of Albunuelas, I still have a stuffed dog that I discovered in the window on a Sunday walk with my parents some 50 years ago...
Today I am a traveller in antiques and I love the weird and wonderful. Things that has past time and seen people come and go. Things that can tell a story, that have had a life of their own. Things that makes me laugh, makes me curious and that teach me of the world and its people.
Welcome to my world and the hunt for the weird and wonderful objects from all corners of the also so weird and wonderful world we live in.
